Remember Me
By Marcia K. Leaser
September 17, 2011Before the pain of the cross and shedding of blood on a lonely hill - we didn’t have a Savior.
Before the breaking of bread and pourning of wine in an upper room we didn't have communion.
Jesus said "This is my body broken for you- this is my blood shed for you."
He knew the outcome, yet He prayed in the garden. "Not My will, but Thine be done."
If we take communion in the manner in which God intended it to be taken.... we will give ourselves anew each time we're before the loaf and the cup.
It’s more than a ritual we perform when we find ourselves standing before the broken body of our Lord... much more.
Jesus said, "do this in remembrance of Me."
Take and eat, take and drink, and be forever thankful for the life He gave so unselfishly.
The life He gave that set us free.
Remember...
