Timeless Expectations
By Marcia K. Leaser
December 15, 2011It's Christmas morning, and you've been selected as the one to pass out the gifts.
You kneel beside the huge mound of presents and begin dispersing them to their rightful owners.
You can't help but notice, not one present has your name on it.
Trying to hide your disappointment... you keep passing them out with a smile.
At last you're down to the final three beneath the tree.
Positive they all belong to you, you grab the nearest one... only to discover it has your sister's name on it.
The next one bears your brother's name.
Finally... the last one has your name on it and you untie the bow and tear the paper off the package.
When at last you remove the lid from the box - lying on the crumpled ribbon and wrinkled paper you find a tiny baby boy wrapped in swaddling cloths sent by your loving Heavenly Father especially for you.
If this was the only package you received this year, would you be disappointed?
