This Computerized World

When I first met up with a computer, I’d been out of school for many years.
I was scared to death of that thing sitting on my desk. I was afraid to push any button until I knew what t it would do. Obviously I didn’t push many buttons.
I fiddled around for quite a few years until I began to become more familiar with the many icons and how to keep the mouse on the screen, etc.
Then, I decided I wanted a web site. I didn’t even know where to start. I remembered a young man who’d done the graphics for our church web site before he’d moved to another town.
Jeremy was more than willing to help me.
I was excited, but also very worried that I’d make a complete fool of myself. Believe it or not I learned quickly and caught onto the uploading and downloading easily. I amazed myself and Jeremy, too, I think
I believe the reason I caught on so well, was because I didn’t think I knew everything. I’d learned just enough to be taught easily. . I still make mistakes, however, so don’t look too closely.
Sometimes, we as Christians, think we know all there is to know. We think we don’t need the basics anymore. But, we always need them. Sometimes we need to sing "JESUS LOVES ME"
As we travel life’s journey, we grow everyday. A verse we learned as a child, will
suddenlyleap off the page of the Bible, as we study, and have a whole new meaning
A whole new mature meaning
As a babe in Christ, we must be eager to learn, but not too confident in ourselves not to know there's much more to be learned.
I don’t think I’ll ever understand the computer completely. Let me rephrase that. I KNOW I’ll never understand the computer completely. But I know enough to share the love of God on my site. That ‘s the reason I wanted to learn. So I could enter into many homes through this amazing machine.
I don’t think I’ll ever know all there is to know about Jesus either. But I’ve learned the most important part: I know He’s God Himself who came to earth to die for me. And because I’ve learned that, I’ll share eternity with Him where I’m ready to be taught all I didn’t learn while on this earth..
