Come unto Me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
Have you met the "you" that is loved and forgiven by Jesus Christ? The person He died for? Or are you still burdened with sins of the past that completely cripple you?
Do you still carry shame and hatred from years ago, causing you to be less than you are? Less than the person Jesus made?
He has a place for everyone in today's world that is free from all that. Free from the pain and sorrow that cause us to live a shelf below where we want to be...where we ought to be..where God says we ARE.
You may wonder. How is this possible with all the chaos and strife we face each and every day?
First of all we need to allow Jesus to cleanse us from the past. He died so we could live a life of victory. He died for you.
If you’ve not yet met the person Jesus intends you to be. Let me introduce you. You're forgiven of whatever it is that you feel stands between you and salvation. Your sin is nothing new. Believe me, Jesus has seen it all. He died on the cruel cross so all "sins" would be forgiven. Even yours!
Have you accepted His forgiveness by forgiving yourself?
Jesus goes even one step further than forgiveness. He FORGETS what you’ve done. Have you forgotten what you’ve done? Have you given your sins to the only one who can completely erase them? You’re His, and He alone can bring you to the place in your life where you feel worthy to take up space on this earth.
Once you’ve turned your life over to Him and accepted His Grace, He won't even acknowledge your sinful past. He's erased it from His mind. Now it's up to you to erase it from yours.
Prayer; “Oh, Lord, keep me ever mindful that I’m made in Your image. You’re God almighty and I’m loved with a love that surpasses all understanding. I’m Yours, I’m forgiven and I need only whisper Your name and I’m surrounded by all the strength I need to accept that forgiveness.”
Thought for the day: Forgive yourself and learn to love the person you are, through Jesus Christ.
