Come to Me

Revelation 21:6-7

How many of us look at the barren trees in autumn and doubt that new leaves will appear in springtime?

We don't because springtime is a given.  We can count on it every year.

There are some prerequisites, however, for springtime to arrive.

In order for a tree to survive and be green in the spring, it needs sun and water.  Without these ingredients, it will dry up and cease living.

We, as Christians also need water.  The living water, Jesus offers us all, which is the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus died for our sins, the Holy Spirit was loosed upon the earth and is available to every living human being today.

If we ask the Holy Spirit into our lives, God will well up within us and become a fountain of life eternal.

If we don't allow the Holy Spirit into our lives we, as the trees, will dry up and cease living.

I don't mean we'll not continue to live this human life, we'll keep breathing and existing, but we'll not continue on into eternity.

We, today, are being offered the living water.

Jesus is saying to us "If you're thirsty come to me."

Become aware of the Living Water and invite the Holy Spirit into your life today.

We can be as assured of eternity as we are of springtime.
