Don't Walk Away From God
By Marcia K. Leaser

God said of David he was a man after His own heart.
That gives me hope because David was a real scoundrel. The minute his hands were idol he got himself in a ton of trouble.
But, God’s hand was on David and he accomplished what God wanted him to do.
We’re just like David. When we have time on our hands we tend to walk away from God.
We stop building the relationship that takes a lifetime to build, and lose track of the rhythm God has set before us.
We sometimes start comparing our life with others.
But, our time on this earth isn’t a competition where we have to be better than those walking beside us.
When we strive to be number one in man’s eyes, we come up short in our own. We forget God’s plan completely, and we’re afraid, or ashamed, to start over.
God’s hand is on us… just as it was on David.
Don’t ever quit. Keep trying. Keep improving and giving all you have to this life God has given.
Just because we mess up doesn’t mean we have to give up!
