Seeing Beyond

READ Acts 2: 42-47 Seeing Beyond The passenger train has been a mode of transportation since 1925. When we board a train, we have a choice as to which car we ride in: close to the front, in the middle or more toward the back. It doesn’t matter where we sit… but it does matter in which direction we’re heading. The engine pulling the train is powerful and hard to stop once up to full speed. This doesn’t mean it won’t meet with obstacles along the way. It can get de-railed. But once “back on track” the goal is closer than ever before. It’s the same with life. We all have our own ideas and different ways of doing things. But, once we come together in one accord we’ll be hard to stop, also. It’s our choice. We can purchase a ticket and board the train… or we can watch it go by. We can join life or wait at the station hoping someone will come along and tell us where we belong. We can wait for the next stop so we can get off. Or we can be a part of the bigger picture beyond the tracks, the trestle and the train itself.
