God's Song
By Marcia K. Leaser
February 16, 2008
The composition written long ago
was set methodically before me.
Yet, I went my solitary way;
ignoring the music
spread harmoniously before me.
Then, in the immense medley of life,
my ears heard a distant strain
playing softly on the threshold
of my mind.
It awakened my soul to an itinerary
that held my future in its embrace.
A melody that validated my existence...
graciously and mercifully.
I, at last, hearing the overall composition
became a part of the entire medley,
and began living...
in tune with its Composer.
