Run Your Own Race

Hebrews 10:19-39
A good runner keeps their eyes on the goal before them. Not looking back to what is behind, which could slow them down. Or to either side, which could easily distract them.
The course of life has been laid before us with many mountains to climb and valleys to trudge through.
We're the ones who decide whether or not to give it our best shot.
It's not unusual to find ourselves wondering if we even have the slightest chance of finishing - let alone winning.
The fact of the matter is... the race has already been won: many years ago on an old rugged cross.
All we have to do is keep on keeping on.
Slowly and steadily following the One who leads the way.
It's our relationship with Jesus Christ that gives us the strength to persevere.
Don't look back - the past is just that. Look ahead - to our goal of becoming more like Jesus every day.
We must run our own race... the one God intended us, and us alone, to run.
He didn't say it would be easy... He simply said it would be worth it, and with the help of almighty God, we'll be the winners in the end.
