What’s in Your Tank?
Just because something costs more today than it did last year doesn’t mean it’s better. Take gasoline for instance.
And because we like something doesn’t mean we need more of it. Look at money. Sometimes it’s more trouble than it’s worth.
More isn’t always the answer... sometimes it’s just more.
Like snow shovels. One or two is plenty. We don’t need 10- except maybe this year.
Wanting something doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good for us. Drugs, and alcohol become addictive and take control of our lives. Many hurts, habits and hang-ups do the same thing.
As a matter of fact, I can think of only one thing that’s 100% good for us, with the only cost being service and devotion. That’s right. It’s Jesus Christ. He gave the ultimate sacrifice so His undying love could be ours forever. Once we seek Him out, we wonder how we ever lived without Him. The more of Him we have the more of Him we want. But we decide how much of Him we allow into our lives.
He’s the best deal in town. He never goes out of style. Still costs the same today as He did 2000 years ago and you only need just one.
He fills our tanks to the brim when we're running on empty with everything we need to get through this life. He keeps the motor running, and if we give Him control… He’ll always steer us in the right direction.
