Christmas Tears

Christmas tears

                     If you're alone this Christmas

                          Here’s a secret I must share.

Even though you cannot see Him

You have a friend right there.

Curl up on a cozy coach that’s near.

If you don’t have one – grab a chair.

Wrap a blanket close around you.

and let Jesus meet you there.

                     He’ll listen to your problems

                          dry your heartfelt tears.

                     Because you see He understands

                          the reason for your fears.

He was alone when on the cross

                          with His Father’s love withdrawn.

                     He tasted grief and sorrow

His broad shoulders bore it all..

Don’t hold back anything you feel -

if it’s anger… let it go.

                     Cuddle up into His arms…

and let Him hold you close.

                     He knows the awful lonesomeness

the quiet pain you feel so true.

                     Give Him the blessed satisfaction

of sharing Christmas tears with you.
