The Road to Emmaus

walking along the road to Emmaus

We were confused –

before He showed us...

Who He was and why He came.

We were deaf -

before we heard Him...

call each one of us by name.

We were blind -

before He offered us...

new eyes with which to see.

We were dead -

before He gave us...

grace to live eternally.
