A Time of Life

About this time over two thousand years ago, a young man came to Jerusalem.  He was lauded as king, and was praised and honored, as He arrived on the scene.

But the rulers of that day were jealous of Him as His many miracles He performed had preceded His arrival.

One of His own betrayed Him and traded His life for thirty pieces of silver.

Within a week, those who praised Him, demanded He be hung on a cross until dead.

Sounds gruesome, doesn’t it?  But, you see, this was the Father’s plan.

Jesus Christ was the young man’s name.  God Himself, Who left the splendors of Heaven and came to earth to give His life for us on this special time of year we Christians know as Easter.

A marvelous time when because of the betrayal and the hanging we were given life.

A glorious time when all things come to life when it seems all life is gone.

Hallelujah, He is risen…. He is risen indeed!
