Let's face it!!

September 23, 2010Let’s face it!
We’re human. There will be days we’re going to do things that aren’t real Christian. There will be days we’ll be sad. Some days we second-guess our motives for even being nice.
I don’t like giving satan any credit for our own poor judgment, but sad to say he is a formidable enemy. Not because he is strong, but because we are weak. Especially when we’re going through difficult times. We let down our armor and become vulnerable. He sits in the wings waiting for just such an opportunity to devour us, and licks his chops when we listen. The enemy makes sense when we’re feeling less than a protected child of God.
The way you can tell if it’s God convicting you of something unbecoming to a Christian, or if it’s the enemy trying to bring you down: If it’s God you’ll feel His loving arms around you comforting you, and His still small voice of encouragement bringing you into His presence. If it’s satan you’ll feel like an old shoe... a chewed up old shoe.
Let’s face it! We have the choice whether to allow our days to be burdened with thoughts of unworthiness and inadequacy. It isn’t easy to always be dancing and shouting with joy when sadness creeps up on us unannounced. But remember Who is strongest. We, though weak, become strong with God’s mighty hand leading and protecting.
In Whom do we put our trust?
