                                Listen to the secret silence

                                      of a friend in need.

                                See the quiet hidden pain

                                      behind their eyes that plead.

Hoping you will never know

                                      how deep within; they bleed.

 

                                Understand the longing

                                      beneath their brave disguise.

                                Seek to give them courage

                                      beyond the tears they hide.

                                Hoping you will never see

                                      the loss within their lives.
